Author Guidelines

Welcome to the CPGSL Journal. We invite submissions that contribute to the advancement of General Practice and primary healthcare in Sri Lanka and globally. Please review these instructions carefully to ensure a smooth editorial process.

Introduction

The escalating prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) globally, and specifically within South Asia, presents an urgent challenge to primary healthcare delivery. In Sri Lanka, general practitioners serve as the front line for managing conditions such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and COPD. Despite the accessibility of public healthcare, long-term management efficacy remains variable due to socio-economic factors and systemic bottlenecks.

This journal seeks to highlight the impact of specific, low-cost primary care interventions that can be integrated into existing clinical workflows without requiring significant capital expenditure. By focusing on longitudinal outcomes, the published studies provide a clearer picture of sustainability in intervention benefits.
